A woman has revealed how she has not been able to smile since she was 17 because of a rare, life-changing condition. Cate Wallwork, 51, suffered facial paralysis as a teenager, but it took a long time before she was finally diagnosed with Melkersson-Rosenthal syndrome. Former Delta state governor, James Ibori, has asked if the youths are truly ready to assume political positions. In an article he wrote recently, the former governor who went to jail in London for stealing from the coffers of the Delta state government when he served as governor, argued that it is not enough to demand for a generational shift in the political class. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal Office, on Monday, February 26, 2018, arraigned one Nsa Ayi before Justice Mojisola Dada of the State High Court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on an 11-count charge bordering on fraudulent false accounting to the tune of N700, 000, 000.00 (Seven Hundred Million Naira), an offence contrary to Section 335(a) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011. The defendant, a former Relationship Officer, Coronation Merchant Bank, allegedly connived with unknown parties to move funds using customers’ electronic instructions meant for investment in the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN) Bonds, Treasury Bills and Fixed Deposits. The defendant was also said to have altered instructions and falsified signatures of customers to transfer money into various accounts outside the bank. The money was allegedly transferred in tranches into the defendant’s Guaranty Trust Bank account No. 0001600855 as well as his Zenith Bank account No.

A woman is on trial for smothering her baby then carrying the child's body in her purse as she went shipping in Victoria's Secret. 21-year-old Tiona Rodriguez gave birth when she was just 17. The baby was born in a friend's bathroom in New York. After the birth, Tiona stuffed the body into her purse and brought it along as she shopped for sexy lingerie at Manhattan’s Victoria’s Secret. She was caught when security guards at the shop noticed a bad smell coming from her bag after suspecting her of shoplifting. A search produced the baby's corpse. Rodriguez was charged with murder after prosecutors found Facebook messages to a friend in which she callously talked about the child's death. The message read: "Take this s*** and dig a hole, put it somewhere, lol, then we go eat [pancakes]." She faced life in prison if convicted. But she pleaded guilty last month to first-degree manslaughter under extreme emotional disturbance and was jailed for 16 years. D

Jack Tweed has paid a touching tribute to his late wife Jade Goody on what would have been their ninth wedding anniversary.
