Jeff Brazier reveals the personality flaw that 'prevented' Jade Goody from getting help: 'I try not to be bitter'

Jeff Brazier has admitted that it was Jade Goody's one personality flaw that "prevented" his ex from getting help sooner. Jade had started having abnormal smear tests in her teens but had put off going back to the doctor. After her shock cervical cancer diagnosis she underwent chemotherapy and radiotherapy for six months before she was told it was terminal.
"We were no longer together when she got ill so I don't know whether it was forgetfulness or fear that prevented her from getting help sooner," he told the Daily Express. "Jade was this amazing, larger-than-life character and she had so many wonderful qualities but organisation wasn't one of them."

Jeff has brought up his sons with Jade, Bobby, 13, and Freddy, 13, alone since her death.
"My boys have grown up without the mother who adored them and they suffer for it every single day," he said.
"Grief like that never ever goes away."
And he revealed his own feelings about Jade's death.
"I try not to be bitter but sometimes I do get angry," he admitted.
His sons were just four and five years old when mum Jade passed away from cervical cancer in 2009.
And Jeff, who now works as a grief counsellor, previously admitted that he struggled not to take their behaviour to heart.
"The big challenge for me was not taking it personally – I didn’t realise when she died that it would get so personal and they would literally tear me apart at times," he told the Daily Mail .
"Not meaning to necessarily hurt me but in a way of showing me that that’s how they feel."
