Mel B's ex-husband Stephen Belafonte 'claims she was a drug addled alcoholic who would urinate in front of her children after necking booze'
Mel B 's ex-husband has reportedly filed legal documents claiming that she's an alcoholic and drug addict who has been treated for an overdose on more than one occasion. Stephen Belafonte is also said to be claiming that the Spice Girls star has covered up the bruises and other injuries she's sustained due to her addiction and claimed that they came from domestic violence instead. The couple's divorce was made final last year, but the battle rumbles on.
Belafonte has now filed legal documents in an attempt to earn visitation rights for his stepdaughter, Angel, according to TMZ .
The film producer has known Angel, whose biological father is Eddie Murphy, almost since birth, and is reportedly claiming that Mel has been concocting lies about domestic violence in a bid to turn Angel against him.
In the documents, Belafonte refers to an incident in London in 2014 when Mel claims he bashed her head into a door.
He claims that Mel had actually overdosed on drugs and was hospitalised, saying the bruises she was left with actually came from the EKG machine and IV drip she was hooked up to during her hospital stay.
He says she falsely claimed the injuries were the result of abuse.
Belafonte claims the singer is so addicted to drugs and alcohol that she walks into walls because she's drunk in the middle of the day.
He also claims that she is so intoxicated at times that she will pull down her pants and attempt to urinate on the couch in front of her kids, and that her claims he forced her to have threesomes is false.
He says he has videos that show her initiating the sexual encounters and looking into the camera saying 'That's hot!' and 'I like it'.
Belafonte also says Mel's claims he showed their children videos of ISIS beheadings is a lie, saying he's never even searched for videos of that nature.
And finally, he says he sent messages to his ex-wife's therapist begging him to stop medicating her, warning that she could become another Michael Jackson.
Mel is also mum to Phoenix, who she shares with Jimmy Gulzar, and Madison, who she shares with Belafonte.
